Linus Andersson: Where technology goes to die: Electronic waste in global television news
We spent some time last term studying the problem of electronic waste. This is a chance to step back and think about how the media shapes our thinking about electronic waste. It's also a chance to check out Södertörn's Dept. of Media & Communication Studies!If you want to come, you'll need to take the 12:10 bus from Hagaberg to Östertälje Station and then the train to Flemingsberg. You can borrow an SL card from school.

Mini project: Sustainable lifestyles
January - February we're looking at sustainable lifestyles - with a special focus on how to look after ourselves and live in a healthy, well-balanced and ultimately sustainable way.
Once again we're asking ourselves: What does "sustainable" really mean?
We began exploring this by comparing two radically different lifestyles:
Huge Spring Primark Haul | Zoella and Hymn to The Great Song w/ Br. David Steindl-Rast
We found we could identify sustainable and unsustainable aspects of both lifestyles!
Now to the mini-project:
What other lifestyles are out there?
In what ways are they sustainable and unsustainable?
Choose a lifestyle and post your choice in our Global profil forum in FirstClass.
When we meet again:
Describe your lifestyle using words, pictures and even short video(s)
Critically evaluate their sustainability according to the following criteria (plus any more you think of):
